Bangladesh announces MBBS and BDS Admissions on Scholarship for Pakistani Students

The Government of Bangladesh has allocated 21 MBBS seats and 2 BDS seats for Pakistani students under the SAARC Scholarship program. Applications are being invited through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, following a transparent and merit-based selection process.

Eligible Pakistani students seeking MBBS or BDS admission in Bangladesh must submit their applications both online via the HEC scholarship portal and through hard copies within the prescribed deadline.

How to Apply for Bangladesh MBBS & BDS Scholarship (SAARC)

Step 1: Online Application through HEC Portal

Visit the official HEC scholarship portal at:
 http://scholarship.hec.gov.pk/

• Register and complete your HEC profile

• After logging in, click on “Learning Opportunities Abroad”

• Select Bangladesh Scholarship (SAARC – MBBS & BDS)

• Complete and submit the online application form

 Deadline for online application submission: 21 December 2025 

Step 2: Upload Required Documents (Single PDF)

Applicants must upload the following three mandatory documents as ONE single PDF file under the “Foreign Admission Form” section on the HEC portal:

1. Duly completed SAARC Application Form

2. Passport

3. Applicant’s Domicile

 Only clear, readable, and correctly scanned documents will be accepted.

Step 3: Submission of Mandatory Hard Copies (By Post)

Applicants must also send attested hard copies of the following documents to HEC before 21 December 2025:

Mandatory Documents:

• Original duly completed SAARC Application Form

• Passport

• Applicant Domicile

• Educational Documents:

  • Matriculation result cards and certificates

  • Intermediate result cards and certificates

  • O/A-Level result cards, certificates, and equivalency certificates (if applicable)

• Two (2) sets of colored photocopies of all documents

  • Attested by a Grade 17 or above gazetted officer

  • Attestation must be clearly visible (IBCC & MOFA)

  • Photocopies must include both front and back sides

Important Instructions for Applicants

• Applications submitted after 21 December 2025 (online or by post) will not be considered

• Ensure your HEC profile is updated with a valid email address and mobile number before applying

• Only applications marked as “Submitted” on the HEC portal will be considered
  (Applications marked as “Saved” will be rejected)

• Any incorrect, incomplete, misleading, blurred, or misprinted information will result in application cancellation

• Submission of documents to HEC does not guarantee selection

Selection & Final Processing

Only candidates selected strictly on merit will be forwarded for further processing to:

• Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training (MoFEPT)

• Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA)

Final selection will be made according to the SAARC scholarship criteria and available seats.
