Punjab Textbook Board has started work on the preparation of the "Smart syllabus" due to COVID-19. The necessary topics shall be included in the syllabus as students have only 6 months left in the current academic session.
According to details, an important meeting was held in the curriculum wing of Punjab Textbook Board to prepare a short compulsory curriculum for students in the context of the Coronavirus epidemic. Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the duration of the current academic year will be 6 months from September to February. Hence it will be difficult for the students to prepare the entire syllabus they used to cover in the full academic year. Matric class syllabus will also be shortened.
Smart syllabi from class nursery to class 10 will be prepared for 6 months. Smart Slabs will include essential materials. A critical review of Smart Slabs was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. Zulfiqar Saqib. Fifteen senior teachers from District Lahore have been included in the committee to review the syllabus.
