Government of Pakistan has announced that all schools, colleges, and universities shall remain closed till May 31. This is decided during National Security Committee as coronavirus affected number jumps to 1,128. Federal Minister Asad Umar announced the same. He said that decision regarding re-opening of schools and colleges will be made and Ramazan and Eid-ul-Fitar.
At a media briefing after the National Security Committee meeting, Federal Minister Asad Omar said that a meeting of the National Security Committee was held on March 13, in which a National Coordination Committee was formed.
Today was the fifth meeting of the National Security Committee. We are moving forward with a strategy to tackle Corona. Health-related staff are our mujahid. The virus has spread to more than 182 countries of the world, people have to stay in homes to prevent the spread of corona. We have stopped all work to prevent corona.
Shafqat Mahmood said all provinces have been contacted and it has been agreed that all educational institutions will be closed by May 31 across the country. Education institutions will also be closed in Ramadan. The provinces have to work together to eliminate Corona. Assad Omar said that there is no shortage of wheat anywhere in the country, nor is there any shortage of flour, wheat is abundant.
