The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has canceled the ETEA Medical entry test for admissions to medical and dental colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is now clear the KP Government accepted PMC's decision and canceled its own entry test which was scheduled to be held on October 18, 2020.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a notification today which states that the ETEA Medical entry test is canceled with permissions of the Chief Minister. Now KP students would be required to appear only in National MDCAT which will be conducted by NUMS. The date of PMC National MDCAT is yet to be announced.
However, the Sindh Government is conducting its own entry test in addition to PMC national MDCAT. As per Section-18 of the PMC act, national medical and dental colleges admission test is mandatory for admission to any public and private medical and dental college of the country. Additionally, students will have to score a minimum of 60% marks in National MDCAT to apply for admission.
PMC will conduct National MDCAT in the second week of November. The registration is expected to start this week or the coming week. PMC has already advised students to prepare from their own syllabus as only the common topic of all provincial textbooks will be included in the test.
