The standing committee on Health held a session in which the members criticized PMC for not conducting the MDCAT 2020 properly. The members demanded that PMC should reconduct the National MDCAT 2020. The committee suggested removing the out of syllabus questions.
Khalid Hussain Magsi chaired the session, members of the committee and Dr. Faisal Sultan also participated. Committee members showed their concerns over the conduct of MDCAT and also told that students of Sindh are specifically unhappy with the exams. 37 exam questions were identified out of the syllabus because many candidates faced problems.
Members of the committee said that during a court hearing in Punjab, the PMC had acknowledged that 14 questions were out of the syllabus. Member of the committee Shazia Sobia demanded that those who conducted MDCAT 2020 should come to the committee to respond. The Standing Committee chairman ordered that MDCAT 2020 should be re-conducted, and also ordered to remove the out of the syllabus questions and report be presented to the committed within 10 days.
