The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has announced the 9th Class Annual Examination Result 2026, revealing a surprisingly low overall pass rate of 46.51 percent.

More Than 280,000 Students Appeared
According to the Lahore Board, a total of 280,676 candidates appeared in the 9th class annual examinations.
Out of these, 130,543 students passed, while 150,133 candidates failed.
This means that more than half of the students could not pass the examination, with the failure rate standing at approximately 53.49 percent.
Pass Rate Remains Below 50 Percent
The overall pass percentage of 46.51 percent means that fewer than half of the students who appeared in the examination were successful.
The higher number of unsuccessful candidates has significantly affected the overall performance of 9th class students under the Lahore Board.
The results have also highlighted the academic challenges faced by a large number of students at the secondary school level.
