The NCOC extended the closure of the school, colleges, and universities in view of the worsening situation of Corona. According to details, a meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar, in which the holidays of educational institutions were extended for another week. Earlier, educational institutions were closed till May 17 but now till May 23.
The next meeting will be held on May 18 to review the coronavirus situation and decide on the reopening of educational institutions. "In view of ongoing disease trends, education institutes earlier closed till 17th May will continue to remain closed till 23rd May '21," announced NCOC. The government has tightened restrictions already imposed in light of the coronavirus situation.
Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood announced to postpone all exams till June 15 due to the worsening situation on April 27. Mehmood said that from April 18 the number of coronavirus cases has rapidly risen, therefore, the government has decided to postpone all exams until June 15.
"Exams of 9, 10, 11, and 12, which were supposed to begin from the end of May, have been delayed further," the minister said. "No board exams will be held till mid-June (June 15)."
