Karachi: The Sindh government has declared a public holiday on April 4 to mark the 46th death anniversary of the founder of the Pakistan People's Party and former Prime Minister, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
According to a notification issued by Sindh Chief Secretary Asif Haider Shah, all provincial government offices, autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations, and local councils will remain closed on Friday, April 4.
The notification further clarifies that this holiday applies to institutions under the Sindh government, while federal government offices and private institutions will make separate decisions regarding their operations.
Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was a prominent politician and a popular leader in Pakistan, who was executed in 1979. Every year, various ceremonies and prayer gatherings are held to pay tribute to his services.
