In view of several complaints regarding merit being ignored and forced placement of students, received to the University from the candidates affected by the admission policy of Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC), according to which the candidates were to opt three (03) colleges at the most in their Order of Preference the Government of Punjab has decided to seek fresh Order of Preference for all private sector medical & dental institutions of Punjab from the candidates. This exercise is being done to ensure merit and justice. The procedure shall be as follows:
For submission of fresh Order of Preference to colleges, the Web Portal https://www.bop.eom.pk/UHS/Private/Logln.aspx shall be activated from 28th February, 2020 (at 09.00 AM) to 2nd March, 2020 (by 05.00 PM).
The portal shall only be accessible to the following candidates who can submit their fresh Order of Preference for all private sector medical/dental institutions:
The candidates who have been admitted in any private sector medical and dental institutions during this session and who are currently studying in respective colleges.
The candidates who were earlier placed in any selection list and deposited fee in respective colleges but later left their seats by withdrawing fee.
The candidates in the waiting lists of MBBS and BOS ( 500 each, that is, for MBBS, Provisional Merit Number 7005 - 7504,for BOS, Provisional Merit Number 3254 - 3753,as per Provisional Merit Lists displayed on 17th October,2019), can also access the portal and submit fresh Order of Preference for colleges.
(3) The ''Order of Preference'' once given shall be final and cannot be changed subsiquently. This condition is mandatory and neither any subsequent change is entertainable nor any exceptions shall be made.
Starting with the first preference, applicants will be assessed and ranked according to their own merit. A computerized matching process allocate applicants to their preferred college, according to their standing in the merit order.
Once offered a place to the highest listed preference, an applicant cannot demand admission to a college named lower in his/her preference list.
An applicant, under no circumstances, shall be considered for a college, he/she has not named in his/her Order of Preference. The University shall not assign a college by itself if the alternate choices are not indicated.
Applicants are advised not to name their preferred college repeatedly in every space on the portal. Similarly, it is also pointless to name only one college. In either case, the applicant will receive a single place on the list for that college and it will not increase the chances of his/her being allocated a seat in that particular college.
The process shall be free of cost and no processing fee shall be charged in this regard.
The ·academic credits and deposited fee of already-admitted candidates shall be transferable to concerned institutions in case of upgradation/downgradation.
