EQUIVALENCE
Every student who has completed his education from a foreign
system of study (Other than Pakistani Borads) whether, he/she is a
Pakistani or a foreigner, has completed his education physically within
Pakistan or abroad, has to get equivalence certificate before getting admitted to an educational institution of Pakistan . Equivalence certificate is issued on the basis of some formulae and other than some general principles there might be some different policies that may vary from case to case.
Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, Islamabad (IBCC)
is the only authorized authority to issue equivalence certificate. The
equivalence certificate determines the qualification of the students along
with years of study and marks of the students according to Pakistani
system. No student, who has studied from a foreign system of study, can
get admission in any of the educational institution of Pakistan without
getting equivalence certificate.
All the certificates and the grades awarded by the accredited foreign Examination Board/ Authority/ Syndicate and institutions recognized by the Education Authority of the country of origin will be considered for equivalence. |
