Examination System
Two
types of examination systems exist in the country:
-
Annual
System
-
Semester System
Annual
System
Some of
the Public Sector Universities employ annual system. In annual system
students have to study seven or sometimes more subjects in one year.
Students have to attend the classes for whole of the year and are evaluated
at the end of the academic year. Assignments and tests taken during whole of
the year do not affect your final evaluation. You will be given marks or
grades on the basis of the only and final evaluation at the end of each
academic year.
Semester
System
Most of
the Public Sector and all of the Private sector Universities employ semester
system, a system of continual assessment and assigning grades for each
course taken. Almost everything you do for a class will influence your
final grade. Examinations and tests, essays or written assignments,
laboratory reports, laboratory or studio work, class attendance, and class
participation may all be used to determine your final grade. This means it
is essential to keep up with the reading and course work and to attend
classes on a regular basis.
