The Natural sciences are very important to the progress of the Human race. They provide great breakthroughs and lead towards application in Technology. But the origin of technology rests upon Society. And the Social sciences are inseparable from Man and society.

Pakistan's problems are Socio-economic in nature. The Natural sciences alone cannot answer to the problems of Population explosion, Poverty, and Illiteracy etc. While the Natural sciences can provide us with tools and techniques, it is impossible to implement solutions without policies and appropriate social reforms. A nation cannot be driven by technology. The Social sciences will indeed play the central roll.
