Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Career Opportunities

Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO), a public sector utility company under the Ministry of Energy (Power Division), is inviting applications for recruitment of suitable candidates to fill the following positions for its Market Implementation & Regulatory Affairs Department (MIRAD), purely on a contract basis on a lump sum pay basis extendable subject to satisfactory performance.

Available Positions and Eligibility Criteria

  • Deputy Manager (Finance) MIRAD (Contractual Pay Scale: 18)
    • No. of Posts: 1
    • Qualification & Experience: ACA/ACMA/ACCA Member or any equivalent qualification recognized by a body of professional Accountants OR ACA Intermediate/ICMA Intermediate/ACCA Affiliate or any equivalent qualification recognized by a body of Professional Accountants with 3 years of relevant experience OR M.Com/MBA (Finance), MS Finance with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience in financial management, contract/commercial finance, treasury, or regulatory finance, preferably in the power/utility sector.
    • The candidate should possess an understanding of CTBCM, Regulatory Affairs, bilateral contracts, and the bidding process. Knowledge of the electricity market shall be an added advantage.
    • Age Limit: Up to 40 years
  • Deputy Manager (Legal & Contract) (Contractual Pay Scale: 18)
    • No. of Posts: 1
    • Qualification & Experience: LLB (16 years)/LLM from an HEC recognized university with a minimum of 05 years post-qualification experience in contract, corporate/commercial law, or regulatory litigation, preferably involving the power/energy sector or public sector entities.
    • Age Limit: Up to 40 years

General Instructions & How to Apply

  1. The appointments shall be made purely on a contractual basis under the applicable PESCO Contractual Employees Policy, organizational requirements, and approval of the Competent Authority.
  2. Applications on the prescribed form available on the website of the Company i.e., https://www.pesco.com.pk/ accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) in chronological order, attested copies of educational testimonials, professional certifications, experience certificates, CNIC, recent passport-size photographs, and other relevant documents, must be submitted within fifteen (15) days from the date of publication of this advertisement.
  3. Only shortlisted candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria shall be called for an interview.
  4. Incomplete applications, applications received after the due date, or those not accompanied by the requisite documents shall not be entertained.
  5. The applicant must be a citizen of Pakistan.
  6. Candidates serving in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous, or Public Sector Organizations shall apply through the proper channel.
  7. Candidates shall be required to produce original educational, professional, and experience documents, along with a valid CNIC, at the time of the interview or whenever required during the recruitment process.
  8. No TA/DA shall be admissible at any stage of the recruitment process.
