Special Education Department Punjab School Teaching Interns (STIs) Jobs 2026

The Special Education Department, Government of the Punjab, is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the hiring of School Teaching Interns (STIs) against vacant teaching posts in Special Education Institutions of Rawalpindi Division (including District Murree, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, and Talagang).

Vacancies Breakdown by District

  • District Attock: 32 Seats
  • District Jhelum: 10 Seats
  • District Chakwal & Talagang: 24 Seats
  • District Murree: 8 Seats

Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications

  • Junior Special Education Teacher (BS-16): M.A. or BS (second division or Grade-C) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (H.I, V.I, P.D, M.C) or equivalent qualification from a HEC recognized university.
  • Senior Special Education Teacher (BS-17): M.A. or M.Ed. or BS (first division or Grade-B) in Special Education with specialization in the relevant field (H.I, V.I, P.D, M.C) or equivalent qualification from a HEC recognized university.
  • Speech Therapist (BS-17): M.A. or BS in Special Education or equivalent qualification with one year post-graduate Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy; OR BS (Hons) (second division) in Speech and Language Therapy or Pathology.

Age Limit & Relaxation

  • Age Limit: 21-28 Years
  • Age Relaxation:
    • Male: up to 5 Years
    • Female: up to 8 Years
    • Disabled Persons: Up to 15 Years

Terms & Conditions

  • Engagement shall be purely temporary, school-specific, and non-transferable.
  • Duration: 09 months (excluding summer vacations) during Financial Year 2025-26 & 2026-27.
  • Monthly Honorarium:
    • BS-16: Rs. 40,000/-
    • BS-17: Rs. 45,000/-
