A post is being shared in different groups on social media for the last couple of days regarding the approval of the New Education policy. It is being said that the cabinet has made educational reforms after 34 years. The Matriculation board has been abolished. Graduation has been abolished. M.Phil has been abolished.
Further, it is written in the post that, making board exams easy, reduction of the curriculum to core concepts, replacement of 10+2 structure of school curricula with a 5+3+3+4 structure, and medium of instruction up to class 5 in mother tongue or regional language, are among the many school education reforms outlined in the new National Education Policy.
It is also mentioned in the post that 10th class board exams are abolished and now only 12th class board exams will be conducted. This is being praised as a major step in the development of the education sector.
It is the Indian Cabinet that has made some changes in its educational structure. And perhaps this news was shared in an Indian group (of course that Indian will be in a Pakistani group) and someone thought that it's related to Pakistan. We are sharing links to the website of Indian newspapers related to all this news. To our amusement, the news is also published in a major newspaper today.
