Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has said that all educational institutions will be reopened from February 1. He said there is a consensus among the steering committee members not to conduct examinations in a hurry. He said that children will not be promoted without examinations this year.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that the pace of corona testing in educational institutions would be increased, adding that it was already decided that 50 percent of students of each class would come to school. Provincial Minister said that we have already reduced that syllabus and it will not be further reduced. However, the examinations can be rescheduled if deemed necessary.
Earlier, a meeting of the Steering Committee of the Education Department was held under the chairmanship of Education Minister Saeed Ghani in which Secretary Education, Secretary Colleges Sindh, representatives of school associations, and others participated. The meeting discussed the opening of primary, middle and secondary classes from February 1. The Minister of Education said on the occasion that we have to make extraordinary decisions keeping in view the extraordinary circumstances. Everyone was affected due to Corona.
