Islamabad: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially released the advance public notice for the CSS Competitive Examination 2027, announcing the complete preliminary schedule for registration, the MPT screening test, and the written examination.
The announcement provides aspiring civil servants with a clear timeline to prepare for one of Pakistan’s most competitive recruitment examinations.
Online Registration for CSS MPT 2027
According to the FPSC, candidates seeking to appear in the CSS Competitive Examination 2027 must first qualify the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT).
The online registration window for the CSS MPT will remain open from August 3 to August 20, 2026. Candidates are advised to submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
CSS MPT Screening Test on September 27
The CSS MPT 2027 will be conducted on September 27, 2026.
The MPT is a mandatory screening examination consisting of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Only candidates who successfully qualify this preliminary test will be eligible to apply for the CSS written examination.
Applications for CSS Written Examination
Candidates who pass the MPT will be able to submit online applications for the CSS written examination from November 10 to November 25, 2026.
In addition to the online application, applicants must also submit a printed copy of their application form along with all required documents. The last date for submitting the hard copy and supporting documents is December 4, 2026.
FPSC has advised candidates to ensure that all required documents are complete and submitted within the prescribed deadline to avoid disqualification.
CSS Written Examination to Begin in January 2027
The CSS Competitive Examination 2027 (Written) will officially commence on January 27, 2027.
The written examination is the most significant stage of the CSS recruitment process and is followed by psychological assessment, medical examination, and interviews for successful candidates.
