The Federal Ministry of Education has proposed that schools be closed from November 24 to January 31, 2020. The proposal is sent to all provinces and suggestions are sought.
The Ministry recommended that schools should be closed from November 24 and students be given homework and online assignments. In a second suggestion, it is proposed that primary schools be closed with impact from 24th November, while secondary schools should be closed from 2nd December.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Punjab school education department has already instructed the teachers to start working on winter vacation home work. Federal Minister for Education and professional training has also announced the launch of the-Radio for online learning. The final decision regarding the closure of schools will be taken on 23 November.
