Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) has officially announced admissions for the 63rd batch of Nautical (Deck) and Marine Engineering Cadets for the academic session 2027-28, offering students an opportunity to pursue a career in the maritime sector and serve in the global shipping industry.
According to the admission notice, applications are invited from eligible male candidates across Pakistan, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), for training in two professional disciplines: Nautical Science (Deck Cadets) and Marine Engineering Cadets.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed FSc (Pre-Engineering) or A-Level with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry, securing at least 55 percent marks. Candidates awaiting final results may also apply by submitting a Hope Certificate from their educational institution.
Students with A-Level qualifications must provide an equivalence certificate issued by the relevant authority before admission.
The age limit for applicants is 20 years as of 31 December 2026, with relaxation available according to government rules.
Physical Fitness Requirements
Candidates will be required to clear a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and medical examination.
The PET requirements include:
- Running 1.6 kilometers within 8½ minutes
- 15 push-ups in 2 minutes
- 15 sit-ups in 2 minutes
- 2 chin-ups in 2 minutes
Officials have emphasized that only physically fit candidates will be considered for final selection.
Number of Seats
Pakistan Marine Academy has announced:
- 75 seats for Nautical (Deck) Cadets
- 75 seats for Marine Engineering Cadets
A number of seats have also been reserved under various quotas according to government policy.
