Karachi: The Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) has officially announced admissions for its 65th Batch (Session 2027–28), inviting applications from young Pakistanis who aspire to build careers in the Merchant Navy and the global maritime industry.
The academy is offering admission to the Nautical (Deck) and Marine Engineering cadet programs. Graduates of these programs have the opportunity to serve on merchant ships worldwide and pursue rewarding careers in the international shipping sector.

A total of 75 seats are available in each program.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Must have passed FSc (Pre-Engineering) or A-Level (with Equivalence Certificate) with at least 55% marks.
- Candidates awaiting results may also apply, subject to meeting eligibility requirements before admission.
- Age limit:
- Up to 20 years for candidates from Pakistan.
- Up to 21 years for candidates from AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan.
- Applicants must be medically fit according to PMA standards.
Physical Fitness Requirements
Candidates will also have to qualify the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which includes:
- 1.6 km run in 8 minutes
- Push-ups
- Sit-ups
- Chin-ups
The academy also requires candidates to meet prescribed medical and eyesight standards for admission.
