Khyber Medical University (KMU) being the admitting university invites applications from the outstanding students of Erstwhile FATA in MBBS/BDS for the Session 2021-22 on HEC Reserved Medical Seats in Public Sector Medical & Dental Colleges of Pakistan under the project "Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for the students of Balochistan & FATA". Candidates who have already applied for MBBS/BDS Provincial Erstwhile FATA Seats to KMU are hereby directed to reapply again for HEC Reserved Medical/Dental Seats for Balochistan & FATA.
Applicants must possess a Local/Domicile Certificate from Erstwhile FATA/Newly Merged Tribal Districts (NMTD). The maximum age is 22 years as on the closing date of applications. Applicants must have passed and obtained a minimum of 65% marks in Higher Secondary School Certificate or F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent qualification. Applicants must have acquired the requisite academic qualification on or before the closing date of applications.
Applicants who have passed the Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) 2021 conducted by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) with a minimum of 65% marks. The repeating candidates can use their MDCAT 2020 result subject to the equivalency of the same by PMC For the purpose of merit calculation for admissions, FSc or Equivalent results only the marks obtained in the subjects of science electives Biology, Chemistry and Physics shall be used.
How to apply for HEC reserved MBBS and BDS Seats for Balochistan and FATA
The applicants shall apply online on KMU admissions for the "HEC Reserved Medical Seats for the Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA" website (https://cas.kmu.edu.pk) as per the following steps/procedure:
- Visit https://cas.kmu.edu.pk and click create an account. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the process.
- Select either the MBBS or BDS or both to apply for the reserved seats.
- Upload readable scanned copies of relevant documents
- Generate Fee slip for "HEC Reserved Medical Seats for the Students of Balochistan and Erstwhile FATA" and print it.
- Visit any branch of Bank of Khyber and deposit application processing fee of Rs.1,000/- (Non-Refundable) in Account No 2007648122. Login again to verify your payment details and submit an application. Note: Keep your original Fee slip to be produced as evidence during the admission process.
Incomplete/deficient applications shall not be entertained. No admission forms will be accepted by hand or through mail/courier. Please make sure to visit (https://cas kmu.edu.pk) for further details and IN/OUT category explanation before filling out the application form. Applicants from NMTD/Ex-FATA shall submit their certificates of the location of institutes as per specimen uploaded on the KMU admissions website (https://cas.kmu.edu.pk) without this certificate their application forms will be not be entertained. The applicant shall list all colleges for admission in order of priority in the designated fields provided in the online form which once provided will stand final, subsequent changes will not be entertained. Selection will be made on Merit and District Quota. Applicants will be short-listed on the basis of PMC-MDCAT and Academic Credentials.
The reserve seats distribution ratio for the applicants of Balochistan & Erstwhile FATA is 50:50. Placements on reserved seats will be on open merit within the selected applicants only. PMC minimum eligibility criteria will be applicable. Those who are already enrolled in Medical/Dental Colleges will not be considered against the reserved seats. Any candidate found to have submitted forged certificates or fake documents/information at any stage of admission shall be debarred from admission to any medical/dental institution under the rules. The admission of the candidate will stand CANCELLED Declaration of result or improvement of marks after the closing date of submission of Admission Form shall not be entertained.
Application Deadline: The last date for submission of the online application form is 17-02-2022.
The number of medical seats will be offered as per availability. Scholarships against reserved seats by HEC will be contingent upon the availability of funds. The University/HEC reserves the right to cancel the process at any stage.
