Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Mr. Shafqat Mahmood announced that educational institutions shall be reopened from September 15. Universities and schools will be allowed to call staff on campus after eid for training purposes.
Ministry of Education will prepare SOPs but provincial Governments will be allowed to modify SOPs and monitor that all SOPs are being implemented properly. Any institution violating SOPs will be closed. Mr. Shafqat Mahmood also said that universities will be allowed to invite students from far-flung areas from 3rd August.
Regarding Examinations, institutions will be allowed to conduct exams and entry test after July 15. Institutions can set their own time table. Mr. Shafqat Mahmood said that universities have been informed to conduct entry test in different phases to avoid the overcrowding. Minimum 6 feet distance will be observed during exams. It will be compulsory for all students to wear a mask.
Mr. Shafqat Mahmood also said that exams will be conducted in the open air, outside exam halls. Any institution not following SOPs shall be closed, and exams will be canceled. Federal Minister also said that organizations conducting job tests will also be allowed to conduct their tests.
