Karachi: In a major step toward empowering youth with future-ready skills, Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi has announced the launch of a Free Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summer Camp for students during the upcoming summer vacations.
The initiative aims to introduce students to the rapidly growing field of Artificial Intelligence and equip them with practical digital skills that are becoming increasingly important in education, employment, and entrepreneurship.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Governor House, Governor Nehal Hashmi said the summer camp will provide students with hands-on AI learning opportunities at no cost, helping them understand modern technologies and prepare for the digital economy.
Free AI Training for Students
The governor emphasized that Artificial Intelligence is no longer a technology of the future but a necessity of the present. He noted that young students can learn AI concepts quickly when given proper guidance and training.
“Even children who can operate smartphones can learn the basics of Artificial Intelligence,” he said, highlighting the importance of introducing technology education at an early age.
The announcement was made in the presence of Minister of State and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Fahad Haroon, Daniyal Nagori, and other prominent figures.
Preparing Youth for Future Careers
Governor Hashmi stressed that countries leading the world in innovation invest heavily in education, research, and technology from an early stage. He said Pakistan must adopt a similar approach to ensure its youth remain competitive in the global economy.
He explained that the AI Summer Camp is designed not only to help students acquire technical skills but also to encourage innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
“Our vision is to create job creators instead of only job seekers,” he stated.
According to the governor, AI education can open doors to higher education opportunities, technology careers, freelancing, startups, and other emerging sectors that are expected to drive economic growth in the coming years.
Focus on Digital Literacy and Innovation
The governor noted that introducing Artificial Intelligence and other modern technologies at the school level will help students adapt to future challenges and make meaningful contributions to national development.
He assured that the Governor House will continue launching practical educational initiatives aimed at connecting young people with emerging technologies and industry-relevant skills.
Online Registration Open
Providing details about the program, Daniyal Nagori informed participants that students interested in joining the AI Summer Camp can register online through the official Governor Sindh website.
The summer camp is expected to attract students from various educational backgrounds who wish to gain exposure to Artificial Intelligence, machine learning concepts, digital tools, and future technologies.
Strengthening Pakistan’s Digital Future
Education experts have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a positive step toward improving digital literacy among young people. As Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape industries worldwide, programs such as the AI Summer Camp can help students develop valuable skills and explore new career pathways in technology.
The launch of the free AI Summer Camp reflects broader efforts to prepare Pakistan’s youth for a technology-driven future and ensure they remain competitive in an increasingly digital world.
