The government of Punjab has announced holidays in schools across the province because of the increasing heat wave. In this regard, a notification is issued by the school education department, Government of the Punjab. According to the notification, all government and private schools across Punjab will be closed from June 01, 2024 to August 14, 2024.
Punjab is expected to experience an extreme heat wave in the coming week. In this, the minister for education had already made several statements and suggested that school timings will be reduced. School timings are also changed from May 18 to May 31. According to the notification, school timings will be from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM from Monday to Thursday and Saturday. On Fridays, the school timings will be from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
All schools will reopen in the province from August 15, 2024. The notification applies to all Government and Private schools in the province. Following is the official notification issued by the School Education Department Government of the Punjab for Summer vacations in the province.
