University of engineering and technology will conduct computerized entry test this year for admissions to Government engineering universities of the Punjab. This will be the first time that UET will conduct paperless entry test. UET has signed MoU with Virtual University of Pakistan in this regard.
UET Lahore entry test was expected to be held in July, but due to coronavirus pandemic, it might get delayed. According to the MoU signed between UET and Virtual University, UET shall provide the questions for entry test while Virtual University shall provide computer labs throughout the province.
UET conducts entry test for admissions to all Government sector engineering universities in Punjab. This time ECAT will be computerized. NUST and Punjab University of Information Technology also conduct computerized entry test for admissions. However, given a large number of students appear in UET entry test, it is expected that UET entry test will be conducted on multiple dates this year to accommodate the large number of students.
