According to HEC, a total of 10 scholarships have been allocated for Pakistani and AJK students for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degree programs. The initiative aims to strengthen educational cooperation between Pakistan and Morocco while providing students with access to international academic and research environments.

Who Can Apply?

The scholarship is open to Pakistani and AJK nationals who are permanent residents of their respective regions. Applicants holding dual nationality are not eligible to apply.

Students interested in undergraduate studies must possess an Intermediate (HSSC) qualification or its equivalent. Candidates applying for master's programs should hold a relevant bachelor's degree, while PhD applicants must have completed a master's degree in a related field.

HEC has also made standardized test scores mandatory. Undergraduate applicants must provide a valid USAT result, whereas candidates for master's and PhD programs are required to submit valid HAT scores.

Language Requirements

Students planning to study in Morocco should be aware that French is widely used as the primary language of instruction in many universities. Successful candidates lacking sufficient French language proficiency may be required to complete preparatory language courses before beginning their academic programs.

Certain disciplines, particularly Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, may be offered in Arabic.

Important Considerations for Applicants

HEC has advised students to carefully review the financial and academic details of their chosen programs before applying. Applicants should verify information regarding tuition fees, living expenses, accommodation, travel costs, and other scholarship conditions.

Students interested in professional disciplines such as medicine, engineering, nursing, architecture, law, and veterinary sciences are encouraged to confirm degree recognition requirements with the relevant Pakistani regulatory bodies before finalizing their study plans.

How to Apply

Applications must be submitted online through HEC's scholarship portal under the "Learning Opportunities Abroad" section. Candidates are required to complete their profiles and submit all necessary information before the deadline.

The commission has emphasized that incomplete or saved applications will not be considered for evaluation. Applicants should also ensure that their email addresses and contact numbers remain active throughout the selection process.

At the initial stage, hard-copy document submission is not required. However, shortlisted candidates may be asked to provide additional documents during later stages of the selection process.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications for the Moroccan Government Scholarships Program 2026–27 is June 10, 2026. Interested students are advised to complete their applications well before the closing date to avoid technical or submission-related issues.

The scholarship program offers a valuable opportunity for Pakistani students to pursue higher education abroad, gain international exposure, and build academic and professional connections in North Africa.
