Allama Iqbal Open University has devised a plagiarism-checking plan for students’ assignments. Plagiarism checking software is provided to the tutors for checking whether the students have written their assignments by themselves or are copied from other students.
If one's assignment is found to be similar to that of another student, he/she will be deemed to have failed the examination. This will help the university overcome the problem of copied assignments.

Reference to Cabinet Division's Press Release vide No. 21-03/2023-Min-III, dated 3rd June 2023 regarding providing Turnitin software for plagiarism checking.
It is notified that Turnitin software has been provided to all tutors to prevent copy paste in ongoing assignments of PGD, MA and MSc, BS programs (ODI, MOD) for Semester Spring 2023 and the information has been communicated to the students through a press release.
