According to sources, the inspection team asked the board authorities to involve parents in re-checking the examination papers of students that have shown failed in online results, in order to cool down the feelings of the students.
It was decided that the board would recheck the papers of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) Part-I free of charge while students that have been failed in part-II can also apply for re-checking after the expiry date. Students would be accompanied by their parents to avoid law and order situation, Chairman board said.
The board chairman, Dr Qasim told that the error in online result had been exaggerated and assured the board would remove the reservations of the students.
The inspection team visited the board amid stringent security measures as dozens of students had converged on the board premises for confirming their results. The police stopped students from entering the BISE Rawalpindi building where the meeting took place for two hours.
He said that the issue had been blown up by owners of private colleges in order to pressurize education authorities adding that the issue had been resolved. He requested the parents and students to support them so that issues can be solved.
