The School Education Department has announced merit-based appointments for administrative positions in government high and higher secondary schools, including Headmaster, Senior Headmaster, and Principal posts. Eligible teachers have been invited to submit their applications online through the official HRMS portal.
According to the department, the recruitment process will be conducted through a transparent and competitive system. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in a written test and interview. The vacancies include Headmaster (Grade 17), Senior Headmaster (Grade 18), and Principal positions in Grades 19 and 20.
Officials stated that applicants must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, including a minimum of five years of teaching or administrative experience. Candidates will be required to take a written examination covering basic IT skills, government rules and regulations, and professional teaching competencies.
Teachers who successfully qualify in the written test will be shortlisted for interviews as part of the final selection process.
The School Education Department has clarified that all applications must be submitted online through the HRMS portal. Applications sent by post or submitted manually will not be considered.
The deadline for submitting applications is June 17. The department also noted that no travel allowance (TA) or daily allowance (DA) will be provided to candidates appearing for the test or interview.
Education authorities said the initiative aims to ensure the appointment of qualified, experienced, and capable educators to key administrative positions, ultimately improving the quality of education in government schools.
