The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has announced internship and laptop schemes for young graduates and students across the country. 60,000 paid internships will be offered to fresh graduates in the country.
The federal minister also mentioned that 100,000 laptops will be given to students across the country. The federal government re-launched the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme and other various programs within the Prime Minister’s Youth Program. The program was announced by SAPM on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja (PMYP).
He further stated that the federal government is providing scholarships to students accepted to the top 25 universities in the world, while 100,000 university students will be given laptops to help them develop digital skills.
Mr. Ahsan Iqbal also announced 20,000 scholarships for unemployed graduates while addressing an international summit on higher education and workforce development in Islamabad in November 2022.
