Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, IBCC, held a meeting in Karachi to decide the schedule of Matric and Inter exams in the country. In the meeting of the chairmen of the education boards across the country, it has been decided to change the matriculation and intermediate examination schedule in Sindh.
The IBCC meeting was presided over by Chairman Matriculation Board Ashraf Ali Shah, and the meeting of the Inter-Board Coordination Commission, a committee consisting of chairmen of education boards, approved the schedule change.
According to the new schedule, the matric exams in Sindh province will now be held in March instead of May, while the inter exams will be held at the end of March and in April after the matric exams.
The meeting also approved the decisions of the previous meeting, according to which the passing marks in the examinations will now be 40 percent instead of 33 percent. Quran education will also be compulsory at the matriculation level, and inter-board games competitions will henceforth include chess.
