Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) changed the eligibility Criteria for MBBS and BDS admissions to Medical and Dental Colleges in the country. According to the new rules, students will a minimum of 60% marks in FSc Pre-Medical or Equivalent exams can apply for admission to MBBS and BDS programs. Also, the pass percentage of the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT 2022) is changed.
According to the new rules, the MDCAT Pass Percentage for MBBS Admission is set to 55% while students scoring a minimum of 45% marks in MDCAT exams will be eligible to apply for BDS programs in Government and Private Dental Colleges in the country. MDCAT registration portal will be reopened from September 10, 2022, and the last date to register for MDCAT 2022 is September 25, 2022. MDCAT is postponed till further orders.
MDCAT 2022 & Eligibility for Admission in Medical and Dental Colleges
As per the decision of the competent authority, the following has been approved: a. Eligibility Criteria for admission in Medical and Dental Colleges: Minimum percentage of HSSC exam has been approved to be 60 % or above.
MDCAT 2022 Passing Percentage for Admission in Medical and Dental colleges:
MDCAT 2022 pass percentage has been approved as:
- MBBS Program — 55 %
- BDS Program — 45 %
MDCAT 2022 which was previously scheduled to be held in Sept / Oct 2022, has now been postponed till further orders. New schedules/dates will be announced on the PMC website. The registration portal for MDCAT 2022 will reopen from 10th to 25" September 2022 in order to facilitate all students who were unable to register previously.
