Lahore: The Punjab government has unveiled plans to establish two Artificial Intelligence (AI) schools in Lahore at an estimated cost of Rs810 million, marking a major step toward integrating advanced technology into the province’s education system.
According to officials, the proposed schools will offer specialized education in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and modern Information Technology (IT) to equip students with the skills needed for the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The project includes the development of smart classrooms, state-of-the-art computer laboratories, and modern educational facilities designed to provide a technology-driven learning environment. Authorities are also considering the introduction of dedicated AI training programs for teachers to enhance their professional capabilities and ensure effective delivery of advanced technology courses.
Officials said the initiative aims to prepare students for future careers by strengthening their digital skills, technological knowledge, and innovation capabilities. The schools are expected to help students compete in the global workforce and meet the growing demand for AI and technology-related expertise.
The proposed AI schools will be equipped with world-class educational facilities and are expected to play a significant role in promoting technology-based learning across Punjab.
