Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical University (SMBBMU), Larkana announces Admissions in MBBS and BDS programs session 2021-22 for public sector medical & dental universities/colleges of the province of Sindh. Applications are invited for admissions in 1st year MBBS & BDS programs academic session 2021-22, under categories of Merit and Self Finance (UEAP, UEDP, LEAP & UDP) from the candidates having domicile of Sindh province for the following Public Sector Medical & Dental Universities and colleges of Sindh Province.
As per the announcements, students with a minimum of 50% marks in the National MDCAT 2021 can apply for admission to the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Sindh. The policy is approved by the Sindh Cabinet. It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan Medical Commission PMC has already announced that students admitted to medical colleges with less than 65% marks in National MDCAT will not be awarded PMC registration. The application process for admissions to medical colleges of Sindh shall start from December 13. The last date to apply for admission is December 24, 2021.

Sindh Governments’ Eligibility Criteria for Medical Admissions 2021
- Candidates should be domiciled in Sindh, having PRC of tagged districts of relevant universities/colleges.
- Candidates must have passed intermediate/HSSC Pre-Medical or equivalent examination (eg. A-level, 12th grade, etc.) with minimum of 65% unadjusted marks.
- In pursuance of Sindh Cabinet's decision taken in the meeting held on 02nd December 2021(agenda item No. 8); vide notification No: SO(ME)I-I-AP/2021-22, dated 07th December 2021, issued by Health Department Government of Sindh, the Public and Private Medical and Dental universities/colleges are directed to admit candidates in MBBS/BDS having marks not less than 50% in MDCAT-2021 only, for the session of admission 2021-22, for the candidates of Sindh Province.
- Candidates who appeared in MDCAT-2020 shall be eligible subject to the equivalence of their scores as per guidelines of Pakistan Medical Commission, Islamabad.
