PIEAS Entry Test 2023

PIEAS Entry test PATTERN 2022

There are a total of 100 questions in the PIEAS Entry test. The test has negative markings. For each correct answer, the score is ‘+3’, and for each wrong answer ‘-1’. Unanswered questions are marked ‘0’.

The total time for the test is 3 hrs. Calculators are allowed in the test.

PIEAS entry test has the following pattern:

• Mathematics 30 MCQs
• ​Physics 30 MCQs
• ​Chemistry 20 MCQs
• ​English 20 mcqs

Total MCQs = 100

Time allotted = 3 hours.

PIEAS Selection Criteria / Merit Formula 2022:

Selection shall be made strictly on merit determined by:

• PIEAS Admission Test - 60%
• Matric 15%
• F.Sc. or ESc. (Part I) 25%
• 0-level/ A-Level 40% of 0-Level equivalence from IBCC

or
Admission on the basis of SAT scores:

• SAT II result of three subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Maths level II) •
• A minimum score of 2000 is required.
• The PIEAS institutional code to receive SAT scores is 7272.

PIEAS Eligibility Criteria 2022

Minimum 60% in both Matricutation/O-level (Science) and Intermediate/A-level (Pre Engineering). Candidates with pre-medical backgrounds, who have given additional papers of Mathematics are also eligible. Students awaiting their final result, but expecting to secure the required percentage of marks may also apply.
