PEEF AJK Scholarship Program 2026

The AJK Scholarship Program focuses on areas considered important for developing skilled professionals and expanding educational opportunities for students from Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

According to the official PEEF information, the program covers six broad thematic areas, including health sciences, emerging technologies, tourism and hospitality, arts and culture, climate and environment-related training, and InterTech and technical education.

The scholarship is being offered to students who meet the required merit and need-based criteria and are admitted to participating partner institutions.

Fields Covered Under AJK Scholarship

Students can explore educational programs in the following areas:

1. Health Sciences

The scholarship covers selected health sciences programs at BS and diploma levels. This provides opportunities for students interested in healthcare and related professional fields.

2. Emerging Technologies

Emerging technology is one of the major areas covered under the program. The official announcement specifically includes fields such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Cyber Security
  • Information Technology
  • Related technology fields

Students interested in technology and digital careers can therefore consider relevant programs offered by the listed partner institutions.

3. Tourism and Hospitality Management

Students can pursue programs related to tourism and hospitality management at BS, ADP and diploma levels, subject to availability at partner institutions.

This area is intended for students interested in tourism, hospitality, hotel management and related sectors.

4. Arts and Culture

The scholarship also includes Arts and Culture programs at BS, ADP and diploma levels.

PEEF's Arts & Culture scholarship information includes areas such as fine arts, visual arts, multimedia arts, musicology, film and TV, product design, ceramics, textile design, interior design and visual communication. Applicants should check the relevant partner-institute list for programs available under the AJK initiative.

5. Climate, Water Conservation, Forestry and Agriculture

The program includes certificate and diploma-level training related to:

  • Climate and environmental areas
  • Water conservation
  • Forestry
  • Agriculture-based training
  • LAD

These programs provide opportunities for students interested in environmental, agricultural and natural-resource-related fields.

6. InterTech and Technical Education

The AJK Scholarship Program also includes InterTech and technical education, providing opportunities for students interested in practical and technology-oriented education.

PEEF describes its InterTech scholarships as supporting talented students in technology and engineering-related areas.

Eligibility Criteria for AJK Scholarship

According to the official PEEF AJK Scholarship Program information, applicants must meet the following basic requirements:

  • The applicant must be a domicile holder of Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
  • The applicant must be newly admitted to a PAK-EEF partner institute.
  • Admission must be in a relevant thematic area covered by the scholarship.
  • The applicant must meet the prescribed merit and need-based criteria.
  • Family income must fall within the applicable policy requirements.
  • The applicant must not already be receiving another form of financial assistance.
  • Preference will be given to female and disabled students.

Meeting the basic eligibility conditions does not by itself guarantee a scholarship. Selection is subject to the applicable criteria and the process followed by PAK-EEF and its partner institutions.

Application Deadline

The scholarship poster states that the application timeline will follow the admission deadlines of the participating partner institutions.

Therefore, applicants should not wait for a single central deadline. They should check the admission deadline of their selected partner institution and complete the admission and scholarship process accordingly.

The official PEEF website also advises students to select an institute from the partner-institution list and take admission in a relevant thematic area.

How to Apply for PEEF AJK Scholarship

Students cannot simply send the scholarship application directly to PEEF without going through the required institutional process.

The application process is as follows:

Step 1: Check the Partner Institute List

First, applicants should review the official list of PAK-EEF partner institutions and identify an institute offering a relevant program.

Step 2: Select a Relevant Program

Students should choose a degree, diploma or training program that falls within one of the scholarship's approved thematic areas.

Step 3: Secure Admission

The student must apply for and obtain admission to the selected partner institution.

Step 4: Submit the Scholarship Application

After securing admission, the applicant should complete the scholarship application and submit it through the concerned partner institution.

PEEF specifically states that students should submit their applications through the partner institute rather than sending the application directly to PEEF.

Important Instructions for Applicants

Students should carefully verify the partner institute and program before taking admission. PEEF has advised applicants to take admission only in their desired institute and in the relevant thematic area covered by the scholarship.

Applicants should also keep copies of their admission documents, academic records, domicile and other documents required by the institution.

Because admission deadlines may differ from one institution to another, students should check the relevant institution's admission schedule rather than relying on a general scholarship deadline.

Preference for Female and Disabled Students

The official scholarship announcement states that preference will be given to female and disabled students.

This means eligible applicants from these categories may receive preference during the selection process, subject to the applicable scholarship criteria.

Partner Institutions

The AJK Scholarship Program is implemented through designated partner institutions. PEEF has published partner-institute information for students and advises applicants to check the relevant list before taking admission.

The list of partner institutions and thematic areas is available through the official PEEF website and may be updated as the program progresses.

Important: Apply Through the Partner Institution

One of the most important points for applicants is that the scholarship application process is linked with the partner institution.

PEEF's scholarship guidelines for its programs state that students should submit the prescribed application form to the concerned institute's focal person, and applications submitted directly to PEEF are not entertained for these partner-institute scholarships.

Students should therefore complete the process through the institution where they have secured admission.

Where to Check the Official Scholarship Information

Students should rely on the official PEEF website for the latest partner-institute lists, thematic areas, application forms and updates.
