Alternate Options to become Aeronautical Engineer
BSc Aeronautical Engineering is not the only choice to become Aeronautical Engineer. But you can also take the following options
- Join PAF Aeronautical Engineering course
PAF inducts FSc Pre-engineering students. FSc pre-Engineering students with minimum 65% marks can apply for PAF Aeronautical engineering course. After completion of 3 years training program, graduates are offered BSc Engineering degree from NUST and are employed at PAF mostly at PAF Aeronautical Complex Karma.
- BSc Engg in Mechanical Engineering and Related degrees
As Aeronautical Engineering is a sub branch of Mechanical Engineering, a degree in Mechanical engineering and its related fields is a good choice for becoming aeronautical engineer. You can complete your masters in Aeronautical or Aerospace engineering after BSc Engg in the following fields
- Mechanical Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechatronics Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Aerospace Engineering
- Some universities also accept Chemical Engineering and Electrical Engineering degree holders for MS in Aeronautical Engineering
- Diploma in Aviation Technology
3 years diploma in Aviation Technology is a good choice for those having low marks in Matric and FSc and willing to join Aeronautical industry. Although diploma leads to assistant level and technicians level jobs in Aeronautical industry, but this can be a very good choice who cannot make it on merit for BE Aeronautical Engineering. Salary package of diploma holders is also very high and attractive. Diploma holders can earn 80,000 per month in this industry.
