The federal government has officially announced summer vacations for all federal educational institutions in Islamabad, including model schools, colleges, and other institutions operating under the Federal Directorate of Education.
According to a notification issued by the authorities, the summer break will begin on May 25, 2026, and continue until July 31, 2026. All institutions will reopen on August 3, 2026.
The notification further stated that during the vacation period, heads of institutions and administrative staff will continue to perform official duties from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
In addition, special coaching classes will be arranged in June and July for students of Class 10 and Class 11 to support their academic preparation.
The government also directed that school maintenance work, training sessions, and other administrative activities will continue during the summer holidays to ensure smooth functioning before the new academic session begins.
The announcement comes as temperatures continue to rise across the country, prompting authorities to take measures for the safety and well-being of students and staff.
