The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is planning to launch a major paid internship programme for 20,000 university graduates, offering a monthly stipend of Rs. 30,000 for a period of three months.
The initiative has been proposed with a budget of Rs. 2 billion and aims to help young graduates gain practical work experience, improve their professional skills, and increase their chances of securing employment.
Under the programme, successful candidates will be placed in different industries, software houses, private companies, and other organizations. The government intends to give preference to private-sector placements so that participants can gain experience according to current industry requirements.

The programme is also expected to provide opportunities to graduates from different districts rather than concentrating placements in major cities.
How to Apply for KP Internship Programme 2026
The provincial government is preparing a centralized online portal to handle applications, candidate selection, internship placements, and other programme-related activities.
According to the official announcement, the portal has already been developed, while some technical improvements are still being completed.
