More than 110,000 students are expected to appear in special exams this year. The Government has formulated a policy to accommodate such students for admission in universities and to save them from wasting a precious academic year.
For the convenience of special category students, new admissions will start from mid-November while the first semester will start from December. Special exams shall be conducted in October and results are expected in mid-November. Keeping in view the result dates, the schedule of new admissions in government universities is also being changed.
The first semester of the universities will start with the usual delay. Admissions in different universities shall start from November 15 and the process shall be completed by December 15. Classes of the first semester shall start in December. Hence, a large number of students who are appearing in special exams will be able to start their university classes this year.
