Annual examinations in government schools will start from May 18. Results will be announced before June 10. The results shall be declared latest by June 10. As per details, the papers of first and second class will be oral while class III to VIII exams shall be conducted from English, Maths, Science, Urdu, Computer, History and Geography and Islamic Studies, question papers will be packed, papers will consist of 25 MCQs.
50% marks will be given for homework. According to the details, the Punjab government has issued a schedule for conducting school-based assessment in government schools across the province, according to which the examinations of class I to VIII will be held from May 18 to 31, papers of class III to VIII in English, Maths, Science, Urdu, Computer, History and Geography and Islamic Studies subjects will be provided. Punjab Examination Commission PEC will provide question papers.
Papers will consist of 25 MCQs, each MCQ will carry 2 marks, and thus 50 marks will be for paper and 50 for homework. PEC will set up a control room at the provincial level for conducting and facilitating examinations. Head teachers will issue date sheets for examinations as per schedule.
