Economic Affairs Division EAD announces admissions in MBBS, BDS, D.Pharmacy, and BSc Engineering in Universities of Pakistan for Pakistanis having foreign nationality under the Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP). A limited number of seats are available in the disciplines of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy), and B.Sc. Engineering for the students of Pakistan Origin having foreign nationality, for the Session 2023-24.
The fee structure of Pakistan Technical Assistance Programs is at par with local Pakistani students admitted on merit to respective Universities. The last date to apply for the PTAP program for MBBS, BDS, Pharmacy, and BSc Engineering programs is September 15, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria for BSc Engineering Admissions under PTAP
- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics required at HSSC level or equivalent
- At least 60% marks in HSSC or equivalent examination.
- As prescribed by some of the Universities, candidates are required to have passed the required admission Test.
- In case, the medium of instruction is not English in the qualifying examination, then candidates will have to provide a valid TOEFL or IELTS score of S50 or 5.5 respectively. OR
- Certification by the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad after a one-year English language course.
Eligibility Criteria for D. Pharmacy Admission under PTAP 2023
- Physics, Chemistry & Biology are required at HSSC or equivalent level
- At least 60% marks in HSSC or equivalent from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).
General Eligibility Criteria for PTA
- Must have valid proof of foreign nationality (self and parent).
- Must have valid proof of Pak-Origin in the form of a Pakistan Origin card/ NADRA l.D.Card or Pakistani Passport.
- Must have studied and passed 12 grade or equivalent exam physically from abroad.
Updated/latest application form which can be downloaded from EAD's websitewww.ead.gov.pk should preferably be typed & printed and submitted in quadruplicate, along with attested copies of the following documents:-
- HSSC or equivalent certificate along with detailed marks certificate/transcripts.
- Equivalence Certificate issued by Inter Board Committee of Chairmen, in case of foreign qualification.
- of Foreign Nationality, Self, and Parent (foreign passport, citizenship certificate, etc.).A green card is not accepted as proof of foreign nationality.
- Proof of Pak Origin (Pakistani Passport, l.D. Card, etc.)
- Valid TOEFL/IELTS scorecard for admission in B.Sc. Engineering in case the medium of instruction is not English.
Candidates interested to apply for the above seats must submit their complete applications on the prescribed application form (in quadruplicate) in the R&l/PTAP Section of the Economic Affairs Division along with the attachments listed above, not later than September 15, 2023. Incomplete applications or applications received after the set deadlines will not be entertained.
