Islamabad, February 19: In a significant step toward strengthening structured career guidance in the federal capital, the program “Mera Career – From Dream to Destiny” was formally launched as a large-scale, system-driven initiative for schools and colleges operating under the federal education system.
The program has been designed to address a critical gap in student development: the absence of structured, scientific, and continuous career counseling. While students often grow up with ambitious dreams, the lack of proper direction frequently leads to confusion, misplaced academic choices, and long-term dissatisfaction. “Mera Career” seeks to transform this reality by introducing a comprehensive counseling framework aligned with students’ aptitude, interests, personality traits, and evolving market demands.
The initiative has been developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training and the Federal Directorate of Education, with implementation and technical leadership provided by Eduvision Career Counseling. The scope of the program covers public schools and colleges under the Federal Directorate of Education in Islamabad.
Strategic Vision and Structured Framework
The launch ceremony was held at a prominent educational institution in Islamabad and was attended by principals of federal government schools and colleges, reflecting strong administrative ownership and institutional alignment.
As Program In-Charge and host, the lead representative from Eduvision presented a detailed two-year implementation strategy, outlining objectives, operational methodology, monitoring mechanisms, and expected outcomes. It was emphasized that career counseling under this framework is not limited to one-time motivational sessions. Instead, it is a structured and research-based process involving:

Managing Director of Eduvision, Ms. Khansa Almas Khan, delivered a comprehensive briefing on program processing, execution strategy, and quality assurance mechanisms to ensure consistent implementation across institutions.

The event was further enriched by the presence of respected education leaders and policy contributors. Former Federal Secretary Mr. Abu Ahmed Akif spoke about the professional and ethical responsibilities of educators in guiding students beyond textbooks. Former Federal Secretary Dr. Zafar Qadir highlighted the long-term societal impact of structured career guidance. Former Ambassador of Pakistan, Mr. Syed Abrar Hussain, emphasized how informed career decisions contribute to national productivity and social stability.
From Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Deputy Chief Advisor Mr. Abid Gul appreciated the initiative and acknowledged its structured approach. Director Academics FDE, Ms. Riffat Jabeen, described the program as a “systemic shift” within the federal education framework, underscoring the need to embed career counseling into the academic structure rather than treating it as an optional activity. Deputy Director Dr. Nadeem Fayaz played a key operational role in facilitating coordination and execution.
Operational Strength and Digital Integration
The program’s operational backbone includes a dedicated team of counselors and coordinators working under Eduvision’s structured model. The contribution of Operations In-Charge Arif Khalil and team members—including zonal heads, technical coordinators, and counselors—was acknowledged for ensuring smooth implementation.
Eduvision’s digital partner, PASTIC (as referenced in the program collaboration), along with digital strategy experts, demonstrated how technology-driven tools will enhance assessment accuracy, reporting, and data management to support informed decision-making.
