Interprovincial education minister's conference has recommended the closure of all educational institutions for one month and a half month. Federal Minister for Education and professional training Shafqat Mahmood presided over the meeting while the Provincial Education Ministers and other concerned officials participated through video link.
The Education Ministers Conference has also recommended postponing all examinations for one month, including the closure of all educational institutions from November 26 to December 24. Winter vacations are also announced from December 25 to January 10. Hence practically, educational institutions will reopen on January 11. It is also pertinent to mention here that Government has allowed conducting entry tests in this period. So it means that MDCAT 2020 will be held on November 29 as per schedule. The recommendations of the Education Ministers' Conference will be put before the NCC. The NCOC has already recommended the immediate closure of educational institutions.
Earlier, according to sources, the Federal Ministry of Education has already sent proposals to the provinces for the expansion of Corona. The first proposal was to close educational institutions from November 24 to January 31, the second proposal is to close primary schools from November Middle schools have been asked to close from December 2.
