Pakistan’s education system has taken an important step toward structured and sustainable career guidance as the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has partnered with Eduvision to provide comprehensive career counselling services to students across more than 430 public schools and colleges in Islamabad. This two-year program aims to go beyond traditional guidance by helping students make informed academic and career decisions based on their abilities, interests, cognitive tendencies, and natural (God-gifted) talents. Students from Grade 8 to BS level will receive structured support through modern psychometric assessments, individual counselling sessions, detailed guidance, and continuous mentorship, enabling them to identify careers that best align with their strengths and future goals.
The program includes exposure to emerging career fields, future market trends, skill-based professions, technical and vocational pathways, higher education opportunities, and scholarships, ensuring students can choose meaningful and sustainable career paths. To provide practical insight, the initiative also incorporates industry visits, career seminars, workshops, interactive sessions, and experiential learning activities to connect students with real-world requirements. A comprehensive digital data system will track student interests, choices, and progress, supporting evidence-based planning, policy-making, and long-term educational strategies.
A key feature of the program is the training of selected FDE staff as Master Trainers, who will gain advanced career counselling skills and practical frameworks to ensure that guidance continues effectively even after the program ends. In addition, students will have access to career-focused educational resources, including magazines, informational videos, digital guides, and guidance materials, providing continuous support at every stage. This initiative represents a long-term strategic improvement in Pakistan’s career guidance ecosystem, empowering students to make confident, informed decisions while establishing a sustainable model that will benefit both individuals and the wider educational system for years to come.
