The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a significant increase in the monthly salaries of university teachers working under the Tenure Track System (TTS).
Under the revised policy, the new salary structure will take effect from July 1, with the revised salaries to be included in the July salary payments.
According to the new pay structure, the minimum monthly salary for professors has been set at Rs. 402,000, while the maximum salary will reach Rs. 712,000.
For associate professors, the revised monthly salary will range from Rs. 370,000 to Rs. 625,000.
The salary of assistant professors will range from Rs. 288,000 to Rs. 553,000 under the revised structure.
HEC has clarified that the additional financial burden arising from the revised salaries will be met by the respective universities from their own financial resources.
The salary revision is part of the revised compensation structure for faculty members appointed under the Tenure Track System.
