The NCOC has proposed to start winter vacations in educational institutions in advance including the closure of shrines, cinemas, and theaters due to increasing cases of coronavirus.
A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Omar in which the National Command and Operations Center recommended strict measures to curb the spread of the Corona epidemic and recommended a ban on large public gatherings. It was discussed in the meeting that the disease has tripled so strict restrictions should be implemented in high-risk areas.
According to NCOC, the number of positive cases in educational institutions is increasing. Recommendations were presented to stop the increasing trend of a high proportion of positive cases.it is proposed to start winter vacations in educational institutions in advance. However, the Federal Minister for Education will discuss the issue with provincial education ministers, on November 16, recommendations will be shared with the provinces after consultative discussions.
The NCOC has also issued guidelines on wedding ceremonies, stating that from November 20, outdoor marriages will be allowed with an upper limit of only 500 people, while more than 500 people will be allowed political, cultural, religious, recreational, and civil society A ban on gatherings has been recommended.
On social networking site Twitter, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Omar said that due to the rising cases of Coronavirus, the NCOC has once again proposed a ban on large gatherings in the country. Immediate action is needed to save lives due to cases.
