PESHAWAR: The Provincial Health Services Academy (PHSA), Department of Health, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has announced admissions to its four-year BS Nursing Degree Program for the Fall 2026–2030 session.
According to the admission notice, applications are being invited through the prescribed online admission form available on the PHSA official website. The last date to apply is October 16, 2026, at 5:00 PM.
The admissions will be offered at 10 government nursing colleges under the PHSA network:
- Post Graduate College of Nursing (PGCN), Hayatabad, Peshawar
- Government College of Nursing, Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar
- Government College of Nursing, Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar
- Government College of Nursing, Khyber Teaching Hospital, Peshawar
- Government College of Nursing, Ayub Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad
- Government College of Nursing, Bannu
- Government College of Nursing, Swat
- Government College of Nursing, Mardan
- Government College of Nursing, D.I. Khan
- Government College of Nursing, Kohat
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have an F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.
The notice states that the KMU-CAT test is mandatory for admission. Candidates who fail to appear in the KMU-CAT for the 2026 session will not be eligible.
The maximum age limit is 35 years, calculated as of the closing date for submission of applications. Only candidates having a domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the newly merged districts are eligible to apply.
Admissions will be conducted on an open-merit basis, with a female-to-male ratio of 9:1 to be maintained in each nursing college.
Rs500 Processing Fee
Applicants are required to deposit a Rs500 processing fee in any National Bank of Pakistan Aitmaad Branch in the designated PHSA account. The academy has advised candidates to carefully read the admission prospectus and instructions available on its official website before submitting their applications.
Shortlist and Interview Schedule
PHSA has announced that the list of shortlisted candidates will be displayed on October 30, 2026, on the official PHSA website. The list will include candidates shortlisted on the basis of male, female and quota admissions, along with the interview schedule.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews at the PHSA office, Budhni Road, Duranpur, near Motorway Northern Bypass, Peshawar. Physical appearance at the scheduled interview is mandatory, and candidates who fail to appear will lose their right to admission.
Candidates will also be required to bring their original documents, including their KMU-CAT result, a recent passport-size photograph and attested photocopies of relevant documents.
Hafiz-e-Quran Candidates
The notice also provides additional marks for candidates claiming Hafiz-e-Quran status. The Hifz-e-Quran test will be conducted on October 22, 2026.
Candidates claiming this status must provide a valid certificate issued by a registered Deeni Madrasa and pass the prescribed Hifz-e-Quran test. Successful candidates will receive 20 additional marks, which will be added to their F.Sc marks in accordance with the applicable admission policy.
PHSA has clarified that no separate call letter or message will be issued to shortlisted candidates. Applicants are therefore advised to regularly check the official PHSA website, www.phsa.edu.pk, for updates regarding interviews and other admission-related activities.
The academy further stated that the decision of the Central Selection Committee will be considered final, while admission will remain provisional until verification of original documents.
