Lahore: The Punjab Special Education Department has decided to introduce Artificial Intelligence (AI) education for children with special needs to help them learn modern technologies and prepare for the changing demands of education and work.
Special Education Secretary Shoaib Iqbal said special education teachers will receive special training in AI so they can use modern technology and improved teaching methods in classrooms.
He said technology will be used to make education easier, more effective and accessible for special children, with teaching approaches designed according to their individual learning needs.
The department also plans to include sports and other activities in the educational process to support students' educational and mental development and provide more practical and engaging learning opportunities.
The department has not yet announced the detailed AI curriculum, participating institutions or the date for starting the new program.
