The National Command Operation Center meeting was held today in Islamabad. It is decided to close the schools for classes 1 to 8 till April 28 in corona affected districts. The 3rd wave of coronavirus is very severe and causing more infection rate than the previous two waves. Hence, it is decided to close primary and middle schools for this month as well. The decision will be reviewed in the next meeting on April 28.
Class 9-12 will be closed till April 18 and re-opened from April 19. 50% attendance will be followed for class 9 to 12, as these students will have to appear in board examinations. It is also decided that students will not be promoted without exams this year.
Examinations shall be conducted as per SOPs. Shafqat Mehmood said that exams will probably be conducted in June and July. Punjab has announced the exams dates in May, these dates may be revised. Shafqat Mehmood also said that O'Level exams shall be conducted as per schedule.
