Introduction

A radio station manager is the key person at a radio station; he is the manager cum in charge of all operations at radio station. He has to manage not only technical staff of station but also have to overview all the content that will be aired from radio station. A radio station manager is the chief of all departments such as, sales, marketing, HR and programming etc. A station manager is directly responsible for all profit and loss activities of radio station.

How to become a Radio Station Manager

To become a radio station manager, one need to be good in administrative skills and an excellent communication skill is necessary as well to handle various circumstances.

Indepth knowledge of radio industry and radio functions is very much necessary to enter in this field. The radio manager has to report direct to the president of the company.

There is no as such separate course or training programme available for this job. However, one may start with radio production field, account executive, sales or marketing managers and technical team head to know the technical and managerial aspects of radio manager job.
